Avanti are delighted to announce a new partnership with Jacobi Carbons UK. Jacobi Carbons is the largest coconut shell activated carbon manufacturer in the world with manufacturing sites in China, France, India, Italy, Sri-Lanka and Vietnam and regeneration sites in Germany, France and the USA. A Swedish company with sales offices in multiple locations around the world Jacobi Carbons have a manufacturing capability of over 40,000 tonnes per annum.
Avanti will be exclusively responsible for sending spent carbons from existing Jacobi Carbons customers to Germany for regeneration and for offering this service as a new waste management option in the UK.
Activated carbon has widespread uses including removal of volatile compounds from air and gas, removal of colour from food, municipal water treatment, purification of process liquors, mining, human protection and catalysts.
Jacobi Carbons UK and Avanti are proud to be able to offer a re-use for many types of spent activated carbon which previously have had to be disposed off via landfill or incineration. Subject to analysis materials can be delivered to Avanti’s Charley Wood Rd fully licensed treatment and transfer facility for subsequent regeneration by Jacobi Carbons in Germany.
This cost effective alternative really provides choice for our customers and will significantly help with any companies “reduction to landfill” aspirations.
